Characterization ( Character Profile)

The Character "The Doctor" from Doctor Who is a  "Time Lord" from the planet Gallifrey. He is the last survivor of his kind and all he does with his life now is travel around space and time in his TARDIS. The thing is he is the only one left of his kind as I said before. He is lonely so he tries to get people to travel with him, he calls them his "Companions" Some things about him that may seem dangerous is that an organization called "The Silence" want to kill him because of what he can do. So what they do is pretty much some point in the story take Amy ( One of his Companions) and replace her with a clone. The Doctor finds this out after he uses his Sonic Screwdriver to destroy the copy of Amy. In reality she was a Demon's Run and held by The Silence until she gave birth to their daughter. She named her daughter "Melody" before it was taken from her and made into a weapon to kill The Doctor. I agree, he is a dangerous person. The fact when you kill him he just regenerates.


For someone who knows him they see him differently. They see him as a great man that just wants to help people. They also see a lonely man in a police box that just wants to have company. Honestly I think he an amazing character with a very large history. He is also very unique.

Media Analysis

The documentary is about this man in Canada  that wants the world to be aware of how our world is becoming less free due to copyright and censorship. The main thesis the author talks about is that "People in the past are trying to control our future." He shows he is Bias by really saying that the copyright law are invading basic Human Rights by putting excessive laws on their "Owned" material.


One reason that shows his point is when the man who drew something that referenced to Micky Mouse and published it was sued even though he only based his character off Micky Mouse. This is called a anecdote.
The next reason is a re-mixer named "Girltalk" He states that what he does is not in violation of any copyright laws because all he did was edit them and mash them up to a different sound.


All of this shows how bias the film is because he really does not the other side of the story. I personally  think that copyright laws should ease up a bit from the "criminals" that remix or mash up songs. It is another version of the song that somebody create, some people have like the vocals of one track but HATE the instruments or sounds of it. That is why people remix it, so it sounds different and appeals to other people.
In closing I agree with this video, all that is said is pretty much true but I wish they showed more of the other side. Why? because it is good  to hear both sides of a story.

My Interests

Today, I am going to talk about my interests. Today, in particular I am going to take about my interest in DJing and Music Production. Since the year 2010 I think I downloaded a program called "Virtual DJ" I loved it. And I got better each year. This year in 2013, I have a Soundcloud, a Mixcloud and a Youtube channel. ( Soundcloud   https://soundcloud.com/dominic-kitzan(Mixcloud http://www.mixcloud.com/dominickitzan/) I don't know why I enjoy it so much, it is fun and just a great hobby to do. It is not as easy as it looks though, it can take quite a bit of work to beatmatch to perfectly. I guess I just have a passion or love for music that not other many people have.
